The City Counsel of Alameda has decided to apply housing taxes to the berths in harbors in Yacht clubs. They refuse to even talk to these clubs and these births only have some 1% or less liveaboards and many of those are very temporary.

This is obviously a ploy to gain more taxes and since they cannot tax tax exempt organizations they will tax them through another means.

This is what is happening all over the USA and while it may not seem significant in a bicycle group it is. Because of my concussion I couldn't sail anymore, but I am a lifetime member of the Aeolian Yacht Club. It is a non-profit organization and due to previous actions of the city, we have a three year cycle of paying to dredge the harbor our and pay for analysis of the dredgings to make sure there's no environmental poisons in them. Bottom paint use to have lead in them to prevent shellfish growth on the bottoms and this is considered an environmental poison now. They have long since switched to copper which the environmentalist accept because THEY need copper themselves.

The cost of this dredging is a million and a half every three years. We have to get this through dues and rental fees for the boats on the club docks.

Alameda passing laws that both lock rentals and tax all of the docks as possible liveaboards is exactly the sort of thing that is coming to a state you live in. You don't live near water? I'm saying that the reduction in driving is going to make them tax you for your bicycle and bicycle paths etc.

Governments that grow to more than can be reasonably taxed for simply tax unreasonably. When I tried to discover where our city was holding the Counsel meeting to complain about actions of the police I discovered that they were holding secret meetings and passing law the public had no control of.

So while this isn't directly related to bicycling it is related to what might soon limit your cycling.

Lou, I fully understand your feelings but if the US fails so does Europe. Taxation without representation is a threat to everyone and it is being supported by George Soros and more than HALF of the upper class here. Don't block it out because you're tired of hearing about it.

That Yahoo link is the login to your Yahoo account. If you really
want me to do that, please send me your Yahoo password, and I'll let
you know what I find after reading all your email and stealing as many
interesting documents as possible. Otherwise, please find a better
way to post your email message. Google drive or photos should be
sufficient.

The last time this issue came up in RBT, you didn't mention anything
about "earning" a life membership. That seems rather odd. Did you
earn the life membership in the last few months? At the time, I also
suggested that I could phone or email the club office or membership
committee to determine exactly how badly you were lying:
<http://www.aeolianyc.org/contact-us.html>
<http://www.aeolianyc.org/membership-faqs.html>
I would prefer not to call or email, but can easily do so if you
continue to pretend that you are a life member.

This is yet another demonstration of the intellectual capacity of the stupid six. John's entire knowledge is enclosed in what he can find on Google that disagrees with me. And of course since I'm conservative virtually everything that Google will cite will disagree with me. So John is happier than a pig in shit with Google. Truth has no place in John's world - only Google this or Google that.

Now Jeff shows exactly why the NAZI' and even the normal Germans were do willing to kill every Jew in sight. They don't even need even a trace of truth in the world they live in. All they need is some ability to argue that someone else that is 100 times better than they are, are wrong. Liebermann would be killed by Israeli's that now know why they were murdered and what they need to do to stop that from ever happening again.

If there is one thing we can rely upon is that Liebermann would NEVER admit that he was wrong unless he believed that it would put me in a bad light. That is because he is an absolute fool that wants to tell dozens of employers that they CANNOT hire electronics engineers. The can only hire electrical engineers that are something entirely different. On my resume it plainly states that I designed a communications board for NASA and was required to write the complete manual on it as well. The place that the board was designed was at NASA Ames which is in Mt; View. But like my life membership in the yacht club he looked on a vastly reduced resume and claimed that he was perfectly sure that I was lying.

There is clearly something wrong in this man's head and it is probably connected to his cancer treatments which leads him to want to prove himself somehow better than others. To be simply Jeff is not good enough, he has to be more than Jeff. He has never been anything other than a technician,. There is certainly nothing wrong with being a technician. I spent 10 years as a technician before I showed my employers that I could do much more. Jeff never showed anyone that he could be better than a technician but he wants to be so bad that he will make claims so far from reality that even Flunky for all of his problems can see it.

What about Russell? When I say that Di2 is perfect shifting suddenly he has Di2. Though he didn't know it was a 10 speed early design that was obsolete before they started selling it. But I had a Di2 so he had to have one before me. When I say that a Waterford Racing was a really good bike, suddenly he has a Waterford as well. Well Richard makes a dozen different models and he didn't start making the "racing" until a couple of years ago. So his Waterford with his obsolete 7970 certainly aren't a bad combination if he actually has them, but they aren't the superlight steel bike that weighs very close to a carbon fiber bike. And where does he go for spare parts if he has a 7070? As an example - an entire 12 Speed Di2 is cheaper than the mini-shift group of a 7970 if you could find it and then it would be used, Russell continues to say things that are so clearly false you have to wonder why he does it. If he has a degree in economics and was an accountant, why couldn't he understand a simple math problem? Why would he want to argue with the statistics page of the CDC?

Which one of these nitwits used a number of 20% as the amount of "Green Energy" that is produced when the discussion was about the 3% power from wind and solar? The Billion solar heat generator in the Mojave was an ENTIRE LOSS and never generated enough power to heat a tea pot. That 20% number included as "Green energy" both dams and nuclear power.

I've spent almost my entire life in science and not one of these people even know what I'm talking about. Jeff is such a nitwit he was trying to find some patents from Physics International that mentioned 6 million electron volts (which was on my machine - B Square) or the 120 million electron volts that was on B Cube. Since this sort of thing was in the public and couldn't be patented, that indescribable ass calls me a liar. Now here is a man that works on printers but he doesn't even know what an HP Office Jet 6310 is and wants to tell me that they don't exist when I have one sitting right here. What exactly is wrong in this creature's mind? This is as bad as Frank saying that he never said something because although he did say it he didn't use exactly the same wording.

I thought you might like to know that I read your toxic tantrum, three
times. There is nothing in it that I want to comment on. However, I
would like to offer a suggestion. Even if everything you wrote were
true, and that everyone you mentioned fails to meet your rigorous
standards of excellence, your opinion of their failings has no effect
on your abilities, performance, knowledge, achievements, honesty,
employment, or military history. Those will remain unchanged no
matter what anyone else does or says. You can't fix your problems by
complaining about someone else's problems. When you belittle someone,
you do not magically become a better person. Other people and things
may change, but you are still the same Tom that you were before you
unloaded your frustrations on RBT, unless you change your ways.

I can't tell if you cannot or will not stop lying. It could be
compulsive lying or it might be intentional lying to attract attention
to yourself. Maybe a mix of both. Since you can't or won't help
yourself, you're going to need help. Normally, I suggest a
psychiatrist. However, you are apparently a member of a church.
Presumably, you trust and respect your minister. Tell him everything
and make sure it's the truth. If you slip and accidentally lie, stop,
apologies, and correct yourself. If he's concerned for your soul, he
will understand. Confess your sins, unload your guilt, and be
prepared for a long and painful recovery. If you can't unload
everything in one confession, then do it in stages. If you can't live
a righteous life, then at least you can prepare for a righteous exit.

Good luck.

To follow up on Jeff's confirmation of Tommy boy's lies. How do you get a life membership to a local recreational yacht club? You can of course BUY a life membership. Even if its not advertised as being available. You could donate a large sum of money to the club for a clubhouse or a dock or a gold statue. Money can buy lots of things not advertised as being for sale. And the second way would be to EARN a life membership. How would you earn it? If you took your yacht, boat, into the harbor and saved a dozen kids from the harbor from drowning. That might get you a life membership. Or if the entire town is burning down, including the hospital, you could put the entire maternity ward on your boat and sail them over to San Francisco. That might earn you a life membership. Especially if some of the pregnant women were rich and famous. But not if they were poor. And all of these events where you could earn a life membership in the yacht club, they would be noteworthy and have articles written about them. Maybe Tommy boy could tell us what he did to earn a life membership and we could look it up.

>

Yes, what about me!!!!!! I have owned my 7970 Di2 system since middle 2010. I ordered it from a place in the Netherlands. Or maybe Belgium. Much cheaper over there. Even with fees for currency conversion and shipping. I was one of the very first Di2 owners. Obsolete? Everyone was making 10 speed at the time. So it was current. With your logic Tommy one could say all of the 11 speed bikes you own are obsolete because all of the component makers have 12 speed now. Didn't you know this?

As for replacement parts for my 7970 group, I don't worry about it. It works perfectly. I trust Shimano to make quality parts. My brother has a Shimano 600 rear derailleur that is about 40 years old he is still using. Now if my Di2 electronic parts do break in the next 20 years, then it will be very difficult to replace them. And if I could not fix the electronic parts, then I might have to replace them with old time 10 speed mechanical front, rear, and STI. That would cost some money. Or I would just use all the parts on the bike to build up a new bike with the newest, latest, and greatest 17 speed cassette and laser mind control shifters. I'll worry about that problem when it happens. Until then I won't lose much sleep.

I have owned my Waterford 1200 since January 1998. Red burgundy color. Beautiful. Short lugs. Silver brazed of course since the main tubes are Reynolds 753. I think all the other tubes are 531. It is fitted with Chorus 9 speed group. First year of the rounded top Ergo levers. Worked absolutely perfectly from the day I bought it. But the cast aluminum index part inside the Ergo lever did break and I had to replace it with the carbon/plastic replacement part. Bad, squeamish, not positive shifting until I fixed it. I now have Shamal 12 spoke deep aluminum wheels on it. Still have the original Chorus hub Mavic Open Pro wheels on another bike. 3 cross. A beautiful, wonderful bike.

Tommy boy, my college/university degrees are in Accounting. Not Economics. I understand you being a high school flunk out who never attended higher education, you do not understand the difference between these degrees. If you have a degree in Economics, you would be an economist. If you have a degree in Accounting, you would be an accountant. I did pass the CPA exam a long time ago. CPA stands for Certified Public Accountant. I have my certificate mounted in a frame behind glass. My degrees are like that too.

As for simple math problems, I clearly and repeatedly demonstrated that the Dow, S&P 500, Nasdaq all went up spectacularly during President Obama's terms in office. That involves looking up the prices for those indices at the beginning and end of his terms as President. Then doing some very simple subtraction and division to generate a percentage. Yet high school dropout Tommy, somehow fails to believe the stock market gained during Obama's terms. And also somehow fails to understand that all of the indices lost, dropped, during 2018. Trump's second year in office. Tommy, why do you have such problems with simple mathematics? Is it because you are a high school dropout?

> Which one of these nitwits used a number of 20% as the amount of "Green Energy" that is produced when the discussion was about the 3% power from wind and solar? I posted this link before. A few weeks or so ago when the discussion got around to renewable energy and electricity. Or a link similar to this one.

https://www.energy.ca.gov/data-reports/energy-almanac/california-electricity-data/2020-total-system-electric-generation#:~:text=Total%20generation%20for%20California%20was,to%2057%20percent%20in%202019.

2020 California Electricity
I am going to use the far right column titled Total California Power Mix %
Coal 2.74%
Natural Gas 37.06%
Nuclear 9.33%
Large Hydro 12.21%
Unspecified 5.36%
Total Non renewables and others above 66.91%
not sure why Large Hydro is considered non renewable. Maybe because the reservoirs are running dry and they don't know if the drought will continue forever due to global warming and the electricity from dams is non renewable today. Hmmmmm.

Biomass 2.45%
Geothermal 4.89%
Small hydro 1.39%
Solar 13.23%
Wind 11.13%
Total renewables 33.09%

Looks like California gets 33% of its electricity from GREEN energy. And if you want to add in Large hydro from Hoover dam, then its up to 45% GREEN energy for California. California is doing pretty darn good.

I can testify that it is possible to get a life membership in a club
without paying. It's unusual, but possible.

I'm a life member of the Santa Cruz Amateur Radio Club.
<http://www.k6bj.org>
According to the roster, I've been a member since 1991 and became a
life member in 2018. I'm still not sure why I was granted life
membership. In the distant past, I spent huge amounts of time and not
so huge amounts of money building and maintaining the clubs radio
sites, club station, network and repeaters.
<http://www.learnbydestroying.com/jeffl/pics/k6bj/index.html>
<http://www.learnbydestroying.com/jeffl/K6BJ-2m-repeater-repair-log/>
<http://www.learnbydestroying.com/jeffl/K6BJ-MSF5000/>

<http://members.cruzio.com/~jeffl/k6bj/>
<http://members.cruzio.com/~jeffl/k6bj/K6BJ%20Repeater/>
(there are more and better photos hiding somewhere...)
For various reasons, I decided to step aside and let someone else take
over the tasks. Transition to a group of new people was a little
rough, but I have no complaints. Today, the club has mostly new
equipment, tolerable funding, and volunteers who are both learning and
doing the necessary construction and maintenance. I'm no longer
needed or involved. Somewhere during the transition, the board of
directors decided to thank me for my past efforts by awarding me a
life membership. Unfortunately, they also neglected to inform me of
the honor for several months, which caused some interesting problems.
Life membership includes the honor of not paying yearly dues. Nobody
has attempted to squeeze me for dues. However, it has been hinted
that I should consider paying dues as a donations. It has also been
hinted that the by-laws do not have a procedure for life members to
resign from the club. These issues have not been resolved.

Therefore, it is possible to attain life member status without paying
for the honor.

Russell makes a common fool look like Einstein. I received the life membership from planning and running the club races after I bought too large a boat to race. I did this for a number of years and it was appreciated since none of the racers wanted to give up their spots to run a race. I also planned and led many cruise-outs from anywhere around to local clubs like Palo Alto to rather complex sail-outs to the Delta and even as far as the Sacramento yacht club. But only the world most stupid accountant that can't even do simple arithmetic would believe that you have to buy your way into anything.

Well, I don't know about your shop but in my world I never saw an E-8
as a "shop chief" As a section or division chief, yes, but not a
single shop. Are you sure that you were really in the A.F.

I might add that I was assigned to the F-111B test program, at Edwards
AFB, and our C.O. reported directly to SAC headquarters. The First
Sergeant was an E-8, the only one in the test group.

And you made E-4 after 6 years? My people all made E-4 in their first
4 years.

Oh yes, your Resume states you were stationed at
Lowry AFB
Completed, Electronics
1965 - 1966
Activities and Societies: US Air Force Technical School

But you tell us about being on Guam with a Bomb Wing... I can't find
any Bomb Wing assigned to Lowry.

Are you lying?
Again?

Cheap electricity was the very least of the reasons for building Hoover Dam. 1. Mass employment during the Great depression. Thousands of jobs when unemployment was almost 25%. 2. WATER for Los Angeles. LA was big even way back then. It needed water. Lake Mead provided water for LA. 3. Hydropower. Las Vegas was only 8500 people in 1930. It did not need any electricity. Many people in the USA did not have electricity in their houses during the Great Depression. Why would they care what the cost of electricity was? Today electricity is important. But it was not when Hoover Dam was built.

Tommy, you really should get an education. Being stupid must make the world a difficult place for you.

But Tommy you brag about being TDY to Guam with the B-52's but your
resume says you were at Lowry AFB where there are no B_52's... So the
question is are you lying about being at Lowry or lying about being on
Guam?

Or perhaps you were in two places at the same time?

John, you've have now been shown up to be both stupid and a liar. My resume does not give my Air Force record. It only shows where I received my 6 months of training - 3 on electronics basics and 3 for systems. Is there some reason you don't understand that? Show me on my resume where I state ANYTHING else about my time in the Air Force.

I have stated my duty stations here enough times that any real Air Force vet would know what it was. So now you've called into question whether you were ever in the Air Force.

I was stationed at Lowry AFB in central Washington where the B52 was developed by Boeing until they closed it and transferred the wing to March AFB in Riverside. During the time at March I did a TDY to Guam. You DO know what TDY means don't you?

But there are MORE pressing matters here Mr. Crew Chief. How is it that you don't know the difference between an aircraft mechanic and an avionics technician? The electro-mechanical bombing and navigating computers that were in the B52D's came DIRECTLY from the B50. All of the guns in the B50 used electro-mechanical aiming and fire control. The B50 had RADAR. The difference was we had terrain avoidance radar and sweep scan for targeting the bomb runs. Otherwise ALL of the avionics on a B52D came almost directly from the B50.

There is absolutely NO WAY you could have been a crew chief if you don't know the difference between an Aircraft Mechanic and an Avionics Technician. A Crew Chief HAS to know where to send the work orders. Those are TWO ENTIRELY different areas of a base. So you could NOT have been a crew chief. This brings everything you've said into question. You were the fucking tow truck driver weren't you? All you did was tow the aircraft over to the docking area. I'm even wondering if you GOT an honorable discharge considering your previous bullshit about never drawing your military retirement.

No Tommy, your first resume entry was:
<https://www.linkedin.com/in/tom-kunich-22012/>
Education
Lowry AFB
Completed, Electronics
1965 - 1966
Activities and Societies: US Air Force Technical School

From your posts you enter the A.F., probably, in 1962 and would have
been discharged from active service in about 1966..

So you are telling us that you were assigned at March, without having
attended any tech school, from about 1963 til 1965, 3 years, then
transferred to Lowry for tech school and then discharged?

No Tommy, you got it wrong again. Or maybe your whole life is a lie.
Were you one of the cowards who ran away to Canada to avoid the draft
and then came sneaking back after the war was over?

Nope Tommy, I was a crew chief on RB-50's for about one year. I don't
know why that is so shocking. Then I reenlisted and when I got back to
Japan the old "crew" system of maintenance had been abandoned and I
became an "Engine Conditioning Technician". And before you get all
technical this would have been in 1956, while you were in, lets see,
about 12 years old so you don't know anything about it.

See Tommy, you keep going on and on about things that you don't know
anything about... makes you look stupid. But don't be shy Tommy, nose
to the grindstone and all that and tell us all about the military when
you were a "pre-teen".

I keep countering your bullshit with what you say at other times. Nothing you say makes any sense. So you WEREN'T a crew chief or you were do incompetent they made you an engine mechanic on a reciprocating engine. Wh6y by 1956 the Air Force really had a lot of reciprocating engine propeller aircraft.

Maybe you should stick to telling me that you sailed from Thailand to Perth without any training in navigation. Another of your transparent lies. Or that you were a pistol champion that doesn't know about revolver blow-by. Or maybe you can tell us the dangers of a two hand hold on a 1911.

You don't read well, do you? I wrote that I was a "Crew Chief" on a
B-50 for about a year. Then, when my tour of duty in Japan ended I
returned to the U.S. Then I reenlisted and returned to Japan, to the
same unit I had previously been station at. As the "crew system" of
aircraft maintenance had ended and the new "Specialized Maintenance"
system had become the New Thing I was assigned as a Engine
Conditioning Technician.

And the 6091st Recon Squadron was still flying B-50's up until about
1961.

>Maybe you should stick to telling me that you sailed from Thailand to Perth without any training in navigation. Another of your transparent lies. Or that you were a pistol champion that doesn't know about revolver blow-by. Or maybe you can tell us the dangers of a two hand hold on a 1911.

Ah Tommy, I told you that I had sailed from Thailand to Australia
without attending any navigator training. But what do you think is so
difficult in doing that? As I also said, a good friend has sailed
around the world, with no navigation training.

As for the dangers of the two hand hold on the Colt 1911? Admittedly
target shooters shoot one handed but I've shot the PPC with a 1911,
with a two hand hold with no problems. In fact here's a you tube of
someone doing it.

The most common injury from a 1911 is holding it two handed with the top hand too high and the side of the slide slicing your hand open where the thumb and first finger are attached. This was so common that it was the first thing that MP's were taught. They would hold the gun in one hand and steady it at the bottom of the clip.

Whatever are you smoking? I ask as anyone that is even faintly
knowledgeable can figure out how to hold a 1911 .45 and fire it
without injury.
I ever referenced a video so even a clueless bloke like you could see.

I probably shouldn't have said "hard ball" as that is a target
shooter's jargon for "service ammunition" or "normal" ammunition.
Target ammunition is loaded to a lower velocity, or lighter bullet,
and doesn't "kick" as much but a standard 1911 won't work well with
the lower powered loads unless you cut the recoil spring a bit.... but
then it is too weak for full power loads (:-)
Which is why you see two 1911's in some target shooter's gun box.

Try shooting at 25 or 50 yards once in a while. It's good practice and
shows up flinching and jerking the trigger really well (:-)
